The spirit of competition and camaraderie is set to take centre stage as the Sports and Leisure Committee, part of the Pathways to Leadership program, organises this year’s highly anticipated Inter-House Soccer event. With teams ready, the strategy in place, and the coveted Unity Cup up for grabs, Riley Oval is set to become the battleground where sporting excellence meets house pride.
The opening round of the competition will kick off on April 5, 3 to 5 p.m., at Riley Oval. Four determined teams—A & M, B & L, J & K, and D, E & C Houses—will clash, each playing two intense matches against their rivals. With teamwork and tactical play at the forefront, every goal scored and every defensive stand will be crucial in setting the tone for the rest of the tournament.
With Round 2 slated for Week 9 or 10, teams will have time to regroup, refine their tactics, and come back even stronger. This phase of the tournament will be decisive, as it will determine the final standings and who earns the right to compete in the championship match. The competition is bound to intensify as each team aims to secure their place in the Unity Cup Final.
After the completion of all three matches, the top two teams on the table will earn their spot in the Final, while the 3rd and 4th placed teams will battle it out in a consolation match, ensuring every team has a chance to prove their mettle on the field.
