Introducing Michelle Nurkowski - Your Wellbeing Advisor at College Row

Meet Michelle Nurkowski, the Wellbeing Advisor for College Row, a valued member of the UWA Student Wellbeing Team. Michelle is dedicated to supporting the mental health and overall wellbeing of students residing at UniHall, Tommy's, and St Cat’s. With a passion for student welfare, she helps students navigate their university journey by offering guidance, emotional support, and connecting them with UWA and community resources.

Michelle is a Registered Nurse with a degree and training from Canada. After relocating to Perth eight years ago, she transitioned into the mental health field and has been committed to supporting individuals ever since. Her professional experience equips her with a deep understanding of the challenges students face, making her an invaluable resource for anyone looking to discuss their mental health or wellbeing.

You can find Michelle at UniHall, near the blue room next to the admin office, on Wednesdays from 11:00 am – 3:30 pm. Whether you need a quick drop-in or prefer a scheduled appointment, Michelle is available to listen, offer advice, and provide valuable resources to support your wellbeing.

Outside of her role, Michelle has a variety of interests that reflect her creative and active lifestyle. She enjoys pottery, crocheting, and swimming—activities that help her unwind and maintain a balanced life. Michelle is also passionate about the ocean and marine life, regularly spending time at the beach or exploring underwater environments.

Michelle is eager to connect with students this semester and is ready to offer support to those who need it. Whether you’re looking for a friendly chat or professional advice, Michelle is here to ensure your time at UWA is as fulfilling and stress-free as possible.
