Students stomped, scuffed and jumped into semester one.

We stepped back in time and into the lively spirit of a classic Barn Dance for our Semester One Commencement Dinner! Inspired by the charming illustrations of former resident Bruce Marshall, who lived here in the mid-1940s, the evening was a celebration of tradition, community, and good old-fashioned fun.

The night kicked off with line dancing led by Claire and the band from the Cherry Steppers, getting everyone moving with infectious energy and classic country flair.

Our guest speaker Ms Selena Torrance, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Operations at UWA, talked about making the most of the opportunities on offer at UniHall, encouraging new residents to get involved and participate.

From the rustic styling created by Phenomenon to the warm camaraderie, it was an evening of nostalgia and joy—an unforgettable tribute to the past while celebrating the present. Thank you to everyone who joined in, danced, laughed, and made it a night to remember!
